Saturday, August 18, 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
with Ken Ford
It is rare to have the chance to step into the sanctuary of stillness which so deeply nourishes the body and mind. We are immersed in a cacophony of stimuli: decisions, meetings, calls, text messages, emails, tasks, events, activities — how can the mind rest?
We invite you to rest in the silence of a day long sesshin at Clouds in Water. Sesshin, which means “collecting the heart/mind”, provides a rare chance to step into a sanctuary of stillness, to close the door for a little while on the cacophony, and to appreciate the freedom and spaciousness of life in the present.
Our time together will include periods of sitting and walking meditation, chanting, a dharma talk and breakfast. Beginners and experienced meditators, all are welcome. Instruction provided as needed.
