Welcome to Clouds in Water Zen Center

Clouds in Water Zen Center is a community of lay practitioners devoted to awakening the heart of great wisdom and compassion. This heart is your own true heart—the essence of peace, harmony and joy—and it is not separate from the heart of all beings. To all spiritual seekers we offer meditation instruction, classes, workshops, communal meditation, retreats, liturgy, community events and a practice for children and youth. We offer support for meditation and mindfulness, whether at home, work or at the center.

Upcoming Practice Opportunities

Peaceful Dwelling: The Fall Practice Period

September 10–December 10
Practice periods are an opportunity for members and participants of Clouds in Water to clarify their spiritual intentions, to deepen their realization and to more fully integrate their pracitce life by dedicating themselves to a specific and focused time and tenor of Buddhist practice. Since we all come to practice with different life circumstances and backgrounds, we offer three options for practicing in this period. These three options make it possible for most practitioners to participate in a way that is responsible and enriching.
