Learn the basics of Non-Violent Communication (NVC) developed by Marshall Rosenberg.  In this five class series we will practice using the tools of non- violent communication to transform our conversations.
We will use various activities and role plays in class to practice NVC skills using situations from our own lives. Some of the things we’ll learn about and practice include:

  • The four D’s of disconnection
  • Observing without evaluating
  • Expressing feelings and needs in a way that encourages “join with me” energy.
  • What it means to take responsibility for our feelings in NVC
  • The difference between demands and requests and how to make effective request
