We will enter into the deep practice of sesshin, assisted by dharma talks on Zen Master Dogen’s Bendowa, Wholehearted Practice of the Way. This teaching points to the heart of enlightenment and the way in which all things carry out Buddha work. As we practice in sesshin in this way – sitting, walking, chanting, eating, working – we will transit the dharma together.

When one displays the buddha seal with one’s whole body and mind, sitting upright in this samadhi even for a short time, everything in the entire dharma world becomes buddha seal, and all space in the universe completely becomes enlightenment. -Dogen
