Clouds in Water requires face covering and vaccination for all public gatherings in our building. Six feet distance will be maintained.

In this class, we’ll learn about the Zen Buddhist practices of meditation and mindfulness, loving-kindness and self-compassion, and how to be in a turbulent world with tenderness towards ourselves and all beings. This is a great class if you’re new to Buddhist practice (but you are also welcome to attend if you already know a thing or two.) We will use Zenju Earthlyn Manuel’s book, The Way of Tenderness: Awakening Through Race, Sexuality and Gender, as one of our guides. The class will include meditation practice, dharma talks, reflection and small group discussions.

Before the first class, please purchase a copy of The Way of Tenderness: Awakening Through Race, Sexuality and Gender by Zenju Earthlyn Manuel and read the first chapter: Not What You Think.
