Release from Anger – July 8

Release from Anger
with Taizan Alford
Saturday July 8th, 9am – 12pm CT
In-person only and on Zoom
We all have moments when anger arises. Something doesn’t go as we expected it to, someone is rude or mean to us, blames us for something we didn’t do, or harms us in some way. Our anger may turn outwards, causing us to react with hurtful words or deeds, or it may turn inward, causing tension, stress or depression. However it manifests, anger is a poison, polluting our own happiness and that of those around us. What can we do about it?
In this half-day workshop, we will learn and practice ways to free ourselves from anger’s hold on us – not ignoring, not indulging but instead seeing through to the roots of anger and transforming it into wisdom. We’ll examine the real unmet needs that are fueling our anger, come to know our hot buttons, and cultivate a sense of humor to help us through.

Taizan is deeply grateful for his loving and supportive husband Tom.

“We know in our hearts that there is a different way to be, a different way to live. Our generosity with one another is indeed resistance to the greed and fear that oppresses us. We provide for one another out of love for each other and love for ourselves. When we give, we acknowledge that all beings want to be happy.”
