Way Seeking Mind Talk, or How I Got Here

In his mid 20s (around 1980) Hōkan decided he needed instruction so he looked in the Yellow Pages under Meditation Instruction and found the Minnesota Zen Meditation Center.  He practiced there on-and-off for a number of years but drifted away.  A few years ago he felt a need to recommit to Zen practice and started sitting more, and more regularly and decided to seek a new sangha.  About that time Covid started and put a crimp in that plan.  About a year-and-a-half ago he asked Myo-On to be his teacher and started practice here at Clouds in Water.  He was ordained as a priest-trainee just last month.
