Clouds will provide padded mats and cushions, but you are welcome to bring anything that will make you feel comfortable: eye masks, blankets, pillows, etc.
This autumn, Clouds in Water is gently feeling into what it means to nourish our bodies, hearts, practice, and community. To cap a season of deep self-care, we’ll be hosting a sound bath on Saturday, December 9th.
This beautiful, relaxing, and utterly unique experience is our final Fall Appeal fundraiser, and we hope you’ll join us for an evening of healing and meditative arts.
What is a sound bath?
Our facilitator, Marc Anderson, says it best:
Sound Bath Meditation is an immersive experience in which the listener is “bathed” in waves of soft tones and gentle rhythms. Combining the sounds of crystal singing bowls, gongs, hand drums and subtle drones, I create a rich and deeply therapeutic experience. Extensive experience as both a musician and meditation teacher, allows me to offer sessions that blend skillful musicianship in a manner precisely calibrated for optimal healing.
Space is limited. Due to the nature of sound bathing, where participants are offered the choice of either sitting or lying down, we only have room for 40 guests.
After the sound bath, we’ll gather for tea and cookies before heading off into the winter season.
Exchange
$25 – Covers facilitator and building costs. Wonderful!
$50-$75 – Supports the Fall Fundraising Appeal, Nourishing our Community, proceeds from which directly support our payroll (3 part time employees), robust sliding scale programming, building and grounds, systemic justice and racial equity groups and administrative costs. Clouds in Water is a community supported temple, relying solely on the donations and class fees that our community offers. We turn away no one for lack of funds.
$100 – Helps to make more programming like this possible! Nourishing ourselves and the Clouds in Water Temple as we grow forward, energizing equality and justice, and cultivating interconnection and joy!
