Intensive:
Practice intensive are an opportunity to immerse yourself in focused study of a text or teaching, and include meditation, Dharma talks and classes.  Whether you are a beginner or experienced practitioner, we hope you will consider joining this wonderful practice.

Ango:
Practice Period is a time when members of our community come together to support each other in making deeper commitments to daily practice.  The word ango is often defined as “living harmoniously.” Whether you are a beginner or experienced practitioner, we hope you will consider joining this wonderful practice.

 

 

Hokyoji Sesshin – The Other Shore: Teachings on the Heart Sutra – July 11-17

We are excited to once again offer sesshin at the beautiful Hokyoji Zen Practice Community, located among the forested hills of southeastern Minnesota, just a few miles from the Mississippi River. At this retreat, we will be diving deeply into the teachings of the Heart Sutra, guided by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh’s translation of the sutra, and his commentary on it.
