This is What Meditation Does to Your Face
By Heather Renkyo Fehst
This incredible photo series from 2012 was created by photographer Peter Seidler, where he took photos of participants in a monthlong meditation retreat before and after their experience. WOW. Look at the impact of practice - the joy and serenity and ease.
I could talk all day about the alchemy of meditation on the stuff of the heart, mind, body, and spirit, but these photos express the power of practice much better than I ever could.
This is what Clouds offers to those who come through its doors (or join us on Zoom): it's a resource for returning to your own ground zero of peace and love and ease. Maybe you haven't had that since you were a baby or young child. Maybe you're not sure you've ever had it. Wherever you're at, this practice will meet you.
It is my hope that our collective belief as a sangha in what we do here will help us reach our Sit-A-Thon goal of $50,000. This is not "extra" money - it's to keep our doors open, to stay on budget, and to be able to continue to offer everything we do here to anyone who needs this good medicine, regardless of their ability to pay.
It's our sangha and it will only continue to be here if we all support it. So many of you offer your time, your membership, and your presence - all of this keeps the boat afloat in this stormy time. Thank you and deep bows for your generous offerings.
This year is extra special, as we have an incredibly kind donor who is matching every dollar we raise up to that $50K and putting it toward our mortgage. Amazing! So your money will go even further.
Here is our Sit-A-Thon page on GiveMN.
We hope you'll consider supporting one of our sangha members' pledge pages, or you can give to the General Fund - show some love for your sangha siblings!
See you at the Sit-A-Thon!
